We are in tumultuous times. What can we do now to maintain our resilience and shape a better future for all people and for the planet and its systems of which we are a part?

This workshop will take us on a journey from the future we have helped create, back to the present we inhabit now. Are we being sufficiently audacious and confident in our ability to have our work make a difference? What guidance can we access about our mission and purpose going forward? Are there new partners with whom to collaborate? New audiences or allies to inspire and engage? Our goal is to unearth new capacities, spark our initiative accelerate our work, and embolden us to deepen our impact. The stakes are so high. Together we can be instrumental in writing a new chapter for humanity.

David Berry

David Berry co-founded and runs the Sustainable and Resilient Resources Roundtable, a non-profit network of government agencies, corporations, universities and NGO’s that work together to advance the sustainability and resilience of natural resources.

He is chairman of the board of the Baobab Learning Center and serves on the steering committee of the Balaton Group. and on the board of the Initiative for Equality. David was President and serves on the board of of the Dharma Centre of Canada, one of the oldest meditation centers in North America.

While at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, he chaired Groups on Sustainable Development and Industrial Ecology. The groups raised awareness of environmental, social, and economic trends, and encouraged creative action by organizations and individuals. He has spoken and undertaken projects in Europe, Asia, and Africa. He leads workshops and retreats in the US, Mexico, Canada, and Europe.

Marianna Grossman

Marianna Grossman is Managing Partner of Minerva Ventures, a consultancy focused on solutions for a resilient future. Minerva advises developers and communities on climate risk and restoration solutions, and provides business guidance to established companies and startups in the circular economy, water, energy, remediation, and finance. Minerva works with clients to evaluate their exposure to climate risk and to uncover opportunities for increasing resilience and disaster readiness.

Prior to founding Minerva Ventures, Marianna led Sustainable Silicon Valley for seven years, after working in the automotive, computer, and semiconductor industries. Affiliations include: serving on California’s Climate Adaptation Action Plan Technical Advisory Group 2016; Sustainable Water Resources Roundtable; the international Balaton Group; Vice President, Transportation Choices for Sustainable Communities; Environmental Entrepreneurs; and, climate action councils for Palo Alto and Mountain View. Recent publication: Sustainable Electricity II: A Conversation on Tradeoffs, Chapter on Silicon Valley Corporate Case Studies on Clean Energy Innovation.

Sharon Franquemont

Sharon Franquemont's life has been dedicated to intuition for over 30 years. She is a coach, consultant, teacher, reader, and writer in the field. Her expertise includes teaching graduate students at JFK University, delivering intuition training and coaching for employees of major companies, presenting speeches to USA and international audiences, writing two books, recording several tape sets, and traveling the world to promote intuition’s wisdom.
