Join us for the Relief Printing & Accordion Bookmaking Workshop with Roberta Lavadour!

We are excited to welcome Roberta Lavadour to lead this immersive, hands-on printmaking and bookbinding workshop!


Workshop Overview:

- Relief Printing: Participants will learn the fundamentals of relief printing using an easy-to-carve material that’s perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Then, create and ink a small edition of prints to showcase their unique designs.

- Accordion Bookmaking: With guidance from Roberta, participants will dive into book arts basics and craft a hard-cover accordion book. They’ll learn essential techniques and assemble a one-of-a-kind book featuring prints created by the entire class.


By the end of the workshop, each participant will take home a beautifully handbound book filled with collaborative artwork.


All materials will be supplied.

For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.


About the Instructor:

Roberta Lavadour is an accomplished artist known for her curiosity-driven work inspired by everything from thrift store treasures to her intricate family history. With over 25 years of experience, her artist’s books and design bindings are housed in prestigious special collections worldwide. Roberta has presented and taught at esteemed book arts events, including the Paper & Book Intensive and the Guild of Book Workers Standards of Excellence conference.


Cancellation Policy

- $20 cancellation fee

-0% refund for cancellations less than 1 week before the workshop

- 50% refund for cancellations made 7-14 days prior

- Full refund if PMRCAA cancels due to weather or instructor unavailability
