Release Open Mic on Tour
Overview
Release Open Mic is officially on tour!
As the Anacostia Arts Center undergoes renovations, we’re taking DC’s most intentional and community-centered open mic experience across the DMV. Curated by Art Is Positive Empowerment, Release brings together poets, musicians, storytellers, comedians, and creatives of all levels for an electrifying night of expression.
Rooted in Anacostia and resonating across the region, the Release Open Mic Tour partners with local venues, galleries, and cultural spaces to continue uplifting the voices that shape our community. Each tour stop is a unique collaboration, blending the spirit of Release with the vibe of our partner venue to create a one-of-a-kind creative experience.
Expect:
- Open mic slots for poets, singers, musicians, and all creatives
- A welcoming, empowered atmosphere for artists of every level
- Community connection and intentional creative release
- Special collaborations with DMV-based organizations and artists
- A fresh environment while our home base is being restored
Whether you’re stepping on stage or supporting from the audience, Release invites you to show up authentically, share your story, and recharge in community.
Same energy. New stages. Come experience Release on the road.
