About this event

Many people live or work in high-pressure environments - whether in helping professions, caregiving roles, or crisis-prone contexts - and are regularly exposed to suffering, overwhelm, and emotional intensity. Over time, this can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, and a disconnection from your own body and needs.

If you find yourself feeling disconnected from your body, struggling with exhaustion, or carrying the weight of the world around you, this space is for you. Yoga is not about fixing or changing anything – it’s about offering yourself compassionate space to simply be.

My name is AJ, and I'm a certified yoga teacher with 300-hours specialized training in trauma-sensitive yoga. I've seen in my own life the transformative power yoga has to connect us with our deeper selves and with the world around us in a peaceful and meaningful way. It can help us breathe through the discomforts of our lives, find joy in the seemingly ordinary moments of the day, and remain internally peaceful regardless of what is occurring around us.

As a result, it’s important that my yoga classes are safe spaces for all people regardless of your demographics, physical ability, mental health, or life experiences. Creating an inclusive and body positive space includes providing pose/movement modifications, adapting teaching methods to learning styles, practicing mindfulness in action on social issues, and encouraging communication from students. Please don’t ever hesitate to connect with me - either in class or separately - if you’d like to discuss how I can better support your participation in my classes.
