Description - Since the Prussians adopted Kriegsspiel, in the 1800s, wargaming has long been acknowledged as a valuable military training tool. But how do you introduce and then “normalise” the use of manual wargames in training establishments which have limited or no knowledge of their utility or how to use them? This seminar will cover the approach adopted by the Australian Army and its journey to reinvigorate the use of manual wargames for training and professional military education.
