Frequently asked questions

What is a micro school, and how is it different from traditional schools?

A micro school is a small, personalized learning community with low student-to-teacher ratios, tailored instruction, and flexible curriculum designed to support each child’s unique needs. In comparison, a microschool can be seen as the bridge between homeschooling and private school.

Is Reign & Root Academy licensed and accredited?

RRA is overseen by the Department of Early Education & Care as a small group, family child care program though we are not a daycare. We also adhere to the home-based private school guidelines overseen by the Department of Education and local school committee.

How do you support children with autism or special needs?

We use a strengths-based approach with sensory-friendly spaces, visual supports, and individualized strategies rooted in experience with neurodiverse learners.
