Redwood Stories: A Virtual Storytelling Event
Overview
Celebrate the magic of the redwoods and support Redwood Parks Conservancy’s mission! Redwood Stories is a heartwarming online gathering where staff, volunteers, and community members share uplifting tales inspired by Northern California’s iconic redwood forests.
You can share your story live or submit a pre-recorded video or audio story—around 2–5 minutes suggested, but not required. All stories/concepts for the event (live or pre-recorded) must be submitted ahead of time to be considered for inclusion. You can also simply listen and enjoy the stories.

Story Guidelines:
- Keep it true. Please share a real experience.
- Keep it rooted in the redwoods. Your story should center on the redwoods in a meaningful way.
- Keep it personal. It should be your own story — something you witnessed or experienced firsthand.
- Keep it brief. Please limit your story to 5 minutes.
- Please avoid: repeated stories, stereotypes, rants, essays, how-tos, confessions, lectures, or fictional pieces.
How to Share Your Story:
Send your story idea for the live event or pre-recorded video or audio file to rpc@redwoodparks.org with your name and story title. Submissions will be considered for inclusion in the event.
