About the presenter:
David Mastny is the director of Information Security at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), with more than 22 years of IT and IT security experience in the education sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management with a concentration in Information Systems Management from the University of Akron.
Mastny is an active member of the local information security community in Northeast Ohio, participating in organizations such as ISSA, ISC2, NEOISF, InfraGard, Northeast Ohio CyberConsortium and the CSO Xchange. He has delivered numerous presentations on security awareness for the College and has shared his expertise on various information security topics with the broader community.
This lecture is the first installment in the 2025-2026 Robert Searson Learning for Life program. The Robert Searson Learning for Life program provides the College and community with enriching topics and information presented by Tri-C faculty, staff, students and guest speakers. The series includes a variety of themes designed to improve the quality of life in our diverse community and establish the Westshore Campus as a resource for learning and enrichment for students and the greater community.
