Description: This presentation explores how ethical AI tools can help speech-language pathologists reduce burnout, streamline workload, and create personalized therapy materials. Participants will identify signs of burnout, develop effective AI prompts for appropriate clinical use, and apply best practices to ensure privacy, cultural sensitivity, and professional ethics.


Learning Objectives: 

  1. Recognize the key symptoms of burnout commonly experienced by SLPs and how they impact professional practice.
  2. Identify principles for writing effective AI prompts specifically tailored to speech-language pathology tasks.
  3. Explain how AI can support workload management and assist in generating personalized, clinically relevant therapy materials.
  4. Apply best practices for protecting client privacy, ensuring cultural sensitivity, and upholding professional ethics when integrating AI into clinical work.

Michelle Boisvert, PhD., CCC-SLP
