(Re)designing Writing Assignments in the Age of AI

In this workshop, we will discuss the factors we need to consider and the questions we should ask ourselves when composing or revising writing assignments in the age of AI. We’ll talk about the kinds of writing assignments that lend themselves best to critical thinking and content learning, and explore recommendations for writing assignment design offered by experts in the discipline. Faculty will leave the workshop with a guide for making meaningful assignments as well as an assignment template they can use in their courses.
