Come join us at Plantiitas for a fun and eco-friendly Recycled Flower Papermaking Workshop! Learn how to create beautiful paper from recycled materials and dried flowers with the full papermaking process including soaking, blending, scrying, add-ins, screening, couching & hang dry.

About the Workshop:

Students will learn recycled papermaking 101 and enjoy a relaxed still-life drawing workshop as a secondary bonus class!

Each student will take home 2 handmade sheets of paper, and their still-life drawings. Your handmade recycled paper is ideal for a variety of creative uses-- suggestions include drawing, origami, snail-mail, bookbinding & collage!

The addition of dried flowers and botanicals will add a unique & artisinal element of color and texture to your paper. This class teaches papermaking with everyday materials that are already available to you at home, like blenders, sponges, bedsheets, cambros, and clothes drying racks!

No prior experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Don't miss out on this hands-on experience that combines art and sustainability!

Materials included:

Recycled paper pulp, dried flowers/botanicals from Jordan's garden, couching sheets, papermaking set-up, 18"×24" charcoal paper, charcoal sticks, soft pastels, still-life set-up. Students are welcome to bring any drawing media of their own!
