Every voice holds wisdom. Every story carries power.

Join us for a free, three-part intergenerational workshop series designed to ignite your voice, honor your journey, and preserve your story for future generations. No experience is required—just an open heart and a willingness to share.

✨ Over three 90-minute gatherings, you will:

  • Ignite Your Story → Discover why every voice matters (Sept 25 and Sept 27)
  • Bring It to Life → Shape life lessons into powerful narratives (October 18 and 23)
  • Record Your Story → Learn simple ways to preserve memories for generations (November 8 and 20)

Whether you are an elder passing on wisdom, a youth finding your voice, or a community member seeking connection, this circle is for you.

The Akron Griot Project, led by Akron natives Ebony and Kwa Hill, is rooted in the belief that our elders are living libraries and stories are sacred. Inspired by the African proverb, “When an elder dies, a library burns,” we uplift voices, connect generations, and keep our cultural stories alive.
