About this event
Did you know that shaking—also known as tremoring—is a natural and powerful way for the body to release stress, tension, and even trauma?
Just as we’re born with an immune system to protect us physically, we also carry a built-in mechanism to release stored tension and overwhelm. It’s called neurogenic movement, and it’s as elegant as it is effective.
After over 25 years supporting people in health and wellbeing, I’ve come to trust this truth: the body often knows how to express, process, and integrate difficult experiences far more efficiently than the thinking mind alone. And when we access neurogenic movement, we allow the body to unwind both physical and emotional stress—gracefully, naturally, and with profound impact.
Sometimes this looks like gentle shaking, rocking, stretching, or spontaneous mobilizing. These movements originate from deep within the nervous system, yet many of us have learned to suppress them—mistaking them for signs of fragility. In reality, they’re a reflection of the body’s wisdom.
TRE was originally developed by David Berceli and designed as a self-recovery tool for large, traumatized populations that may not have easy access to mental health services. Now TRE is used all across the world for its ease and extraordinary capacity for recovery and engaging greater vitality.
During this 2 evening experiential workshop, you’ll learn how to safely and effectively engage your body’s innate tremoring response through simple stretch-and-fatigue exercises that awaken regulation, resilience, and ease. Whether you're new to TRE® or returning to deepen your practice, this day offers a grounded, empowering introduction.
