Event description

Description

IxDA Seattle presents a redux of Bryce and John's Interaction '19 presentation, with more discussion and a chance for audience Q&A! Thank you to ATLAS Workbase for hosting this event!

In your experiences, what barriers do you (inadvertently) create and who do they exclude?

Before designing the Xbox Adaptive Controller, the team behind it needed to recognize the barriers that traditional controllers create for people with limited mobility. Bryce and John will take you through the Inclusive Design principles they use at Microsoft, and how they were used to create the Xbox Adaptive Controller. You'll also come away with tips on how you can remove unnecessary friction from your experiences and design more for inclusion.
