Overview

Yarn about the Reconnection Employment and Learning (REAL) Program service delivery in Phase 2 locations.

The REAL Program is for First Nations people aged 15 and over who are in prison or on remand and have a known release date. It provides tailored support and mentoring to help mob reconnect with health services, housing, social support, and build stronger links to jobs, education, training, language, Country, and culture. Support is available for up to 6 months before release and up to 12 months after release. The program is being implemented in phases with phase 1 starting in selected facilities, and Phase 2 expanding to more locations.

We are opening a conversation with community, ACCO's and First Nations led organisations and people with lived experience that are in scope for phase 2 delivery of the REAL Program. We want to hear about any considerations for these locations, potential system design features and measures of success.
