Real Conversations: Getting beyond polarization & ideology to respect & understanding
Join us for this special, free event, which will focus on speaking productively with someone who has very different political views than you.
* During this event, you’ll discover a framework and a set of tools for more effective communication with people with different viewpoints.
* Just as important, get a chance to practice these tools by speaking with a “political opposite.” i.e. if you’re liberal, you’d speak with a conservative.

FULL EVENT DETAILS:
These are intense political times we live in. There are many issues we care deeply about and yet, politically, we are more polarized than we have ever been. Citizens across the country are divided between red and blue lines and we are hardly able to have any real conversations that lead to agreeable solutions. Also, many people have divides in their relationships. They have a strains with friends, co-workers or family members over politics that they have difficulty resolving.
Would you like to increase your capacity to have honest, authentic and meaningful conversations about any subject with friends, co-workers and family without creating hostility, anger or bad-feelings?
Would you like to be a part of a movement to create conversations that bridge the political divide, create greater respect and understanding, and even start to create solutions that get beyond the political gridlock?
Then please join us for this virtual, pilot workshop sponsored byMaestroConference/ Voicevoice and facilitated by Charlie Rebich.
At this workshop, you’ll learn and practice how to:
* Create an honest, fair, respectful, open and compassionate space for conversations to take place that lead to the best outcomes.
* Actively listen to other people to understand their view-point while making sure they also understand yours.
* Navigate difficult emotions when they come up in yourself or in others.
* Build common ground where you can begin to create agreements, get beyond polarization and move forward.
To attend please register here http://bit.ly/RealConversations and signify your political leaning (more to the left or to the right). Also, please try to bring at least one co-worker, friend or family member from the other side of the political divide. This is a chance for you to bring someone you would like to have a breakthrough in understanding with and we would like to have the greatest impact by having as close as possible to even balance between liberal and conservative leaning people. After you register, we will email you some tips on how to invite a person from the other side of the divide.
