This event is exclusively for licensed Black-owned businesses that have been operating for at least 2 years and have annual revenues between $10,000 and $249,000. If you meet these criteria and want to secure contracts, grants, loans, or investor funding — this is for you!

2. What will I learn during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

You will learn how to position your business to become fundable through certifications, contract readiness, understanding capital access, and building strategic partnerships. We will walk you step-by-step through actionable strategies you can implement immediately.

3. Do I need to have certifications already?

Accepted Answer

No. This workshop will help you understand the certification process and prepare you to apply for certifications that open doors to contracts, grants, and partnership opportunities. But, if you already have your certificates, if you'd like, you can apply for your first opportunity while with us!

4. Will I get funding at this event?

Accepted Answer

While no funds will be distributed at the event, you will leave prepared to pursue and qualify for contracts, grants, loans, and investments. This workshop is about equipping you with the tools to go get the bag confidently.

5. What should I bring to the event?

Bring your laptop, notebook, questions, and readiness to work! If you have current business documents (like your license, tax returns, certifications, or business plan), have those available electronically, too — they will help you during the interactive portions of the workshop.
