Hanif Joshaghani is the Co-Founder and CEO of Symend. He is a serial entrepreneur who has raised $200 million across the four companies he has founded and has invested in over a dozen startups. His background includes 15 years of senior roles in capital markets, energy, finance, business development, and entrepreneurship across a broad range of industries. You don't want to miss Hanif's keynote as he will be sharing his perspective as a serial entrepreneur and investor, and what he’s learnt from building Symend to what it is today.

About the Program

​​The Alberta Accelerator by 500 is a growth-driven program for local and global entrepreneurs to land and expand in the tech innovation ecosystem of Alberta. With the support of Alberta Innovates, PrairiesCan, and Edmonton Unlimited, the program is delivered twice a year with batches rotating between Edmonton and Calgary.

500 Global is part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program, led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It is part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030.
