Now that you have learned the basics of fly fishing, let’s take it to the next level by learning how to read the water. Join the staff of the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center as they instruct you on a section of the Pequest River - helping you get a better understanding of where trout like to hang out, as well as their feeding habits.

Participants are required to have their own wading equipment (waders, wading boots).

This is not guided fishing.

Is this event rain or shine?

Yes. The event will be held rain or shine, however, in the case of extreme weather or high water levels, the program may be canceled.

What do I need?

Wading boots of some kind and a wading staff are recommended.
