About the Talk:

Over the last three decades, professional geologist Dan McShane has been gathering information about the landscapes, geology, geography, ecology, history, and land use in Washington State. We are very excited to hear his observations about the geological history of Skagit County!

About the Speaker:

Dan McShane is President and Senior Geologist at Stratum Group, a geology and environmental consulting company based in Bellingham, Washington. Dan holds a M.Sc. degree in geology from Western Washington University and has over 25 years of geologic and environmental consulting experience. He has been reading Washington State landscapes since driving across the Horse Heaven Hills with his father and brother in 1970.
