Join us for introvert happy hour! Bring a book and settle in for an evening of reading with fellow book lovers upstairs at The Globe's private event space. There is no assigned reading or discussion, so you can bring any book you choose.
RESERVE YOUR SEAT. Globe has a seating capacity in its upstairs event space. Signing up reserves your seat for this event. If your plans change, please update your reservation to open up that seat for someone else.
ENJOY FOOD & BEVERAGE. Globe is a full-service restaurant and bar. The event space rental fee is generously waived for us so we ask you to thank them by purchasing food/drink and tipping our servers.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: The Globe is in a historic building and the upstairs event space is not wheelchair accessible. All of our other equally fun reading meetups are on the first floor with full access.
ABOUT US: Silent Book Club Athens is a group created to bring together book lovers in the Athens, Georgia community. There is no assigned reading, no deadline to finish a book, and no required discussion. Bring your book of choice and enjoy reading in the company of others who appreciate and support reading too. Adults of all ages are welcome, and so are books of all genres and formats.
