Read in Company is a new kind of social event in Naas (and Galway), designed for those who enjoy reading and want to connect with others in a laid-back, quiet environment.
It's a gathering where we invite you to come and read – in the company of others!
At our event, you bring your own book, read in peace, and later engage in dedicated conversation sessions with fellow readers. During these sessions, we’ll share prompts and ideas to inspire some book-related chat.
Whether you're a regular reader or hoping to rekindle your interest in books, this is a chance to foster that interest and meet new readers along the way.
This event is free of charge and booking is advised, although we will keep a few spots available on the night for walk-ins.
What to Expect:
- Quiet solo reading time
- Conversation sessions with fellow readers
- Book-related conversation prompts
- A low-key, cosy environment
- A chance to meet new people and share your love for reading
Schedule:
- 7:30 PM - Arrive, get your seat, get comfy
- 7:40 PM - Solo reading session 1
- 8:05 PM - Small-group conversation sessions
- 8:20 PM - Solo reading session 2
- 8:45 PM - Wrap up for the night, stay for the chats (optional)

We run this event in our free time as a passion project, and while we love doing so, we’d deeply appreciate a small donation to help us cover our costs and reduce no-shows — it helps us keep these gatherings sustainable and enjoyable.
