Reach For the Stars Open Taekwondo Tournament 2026
Overview
Poomsae, Sparring, and Breaking Competition for white- blue belt athletes with less than 4 tournament competition experiences.
Para Divisions include: Intellectual /Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Physical/ Mobility Impairment, and limb deficiency. Adaptive students with a white- black belt may participate
Tournament Features:
1. Explanation of the components of a tournament to players, new referees, and spectators by professional instructors and International Level Referees.
2. Sparring participants will be using modified USAT/WT rules and electronic scoring. Competitors will need to wear arm guards, shin and instep guards, hogus, white or color-coordinated helmets, a clear or white mouthguard, and a groin protector.
3. Medals are awarded to all.
4. Red belts, Ages 14+ are given the opportunity to begin their training as referees.
6. Poomsae competition is bracketed, & "head-to-head" using World Taekwondo standards for judging.
7. Breaking Competitors will only break 3 boards. ($15 cost for this event. Boards provided)
