Learn to make rag rugs out of old sheets! This is a simple crocheted method that requires minimal tools and no loom. Rugs can be made small for bathrooms and entry ways, or large for living rooms and bedrooms. Everyone will go home with the start of a rag rug and all the tools needed to complete it!
Students will have access to supplies dyed from materials sourced right here at the Art Farm. This class is part of our Art + Agriculture Series. This class is taught by artist-in-residence alumni, Bellingham-based Jane Burleigh. Jane is a textile artist with a background in industrial sewing. We're thrilled to host Jane for this class!
This class is held at the Art Barn at the new Alchemy Art Farm at 45 Hawthorne Lane. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.
Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.
