Racial Equity Workshop Series

By Santa Cruz County Workforce Development Board

Overview

First session of our Racial Equity Workshop Series

We're excited to invite you to the first session of our Racial Equity Workshop Series!

Santa Cruz County Workforce Development Board has partnered with TKM Consulting on an 18-month racial equity transformation journey, funded by the James Irvine Foundation.

This work is about examining and strengthening our organizational culture to better serve our community, particularly those who have been historically underinvested.

This is where the real work begins, and your participation is essential.

What We'll Accomplish Together:

This session is designed to move us from conversation to action. We'll:

  • Establish shared definitions and language around racial equity in the context of workforce development
  • Review key themes from the assessment (surveys and partner interviews) and discuss what they mean for our work
  • Identify 2–3 concrete organizational barriers we can start addressing in the next six months

Your voice matters. Whether you're a champion for this work or still finding your footing in the conversation, your perspective is needed.

Limited space is available. Please RSVP by Thursday, December 4th, so we can plan accordingly.
