About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours
Hosted by Saddle Up Coaching, these sessions exist because we want to help women* feel ready, confident, and excited about lining up to race, whether that’s at the London Academy GP the following week, or another race sometime soon.
You don’t need any racing experience to join us. Each session is relaxed but practical, guided by British Cycling coaches and experienced riders. You’ll develop skills, improve confidence in bunch riding, and learn key race techniques step-by-step, with no pressure to race if you're not sure yet.
It’s also a great opportunity if you're simply looking to build better group riding habits, ride more smoothly in events or road settings, or just want to try something new in a supportive environment.
Each session includes 90 minutes of structured, skills-focused riding followed by 30 minutes off-bike, chatting through questions, sharing advice, and working out what’s next—for you.
You’ll meet other women at different points in their riding. Some will be racing soon, others might just be curious. Everyone’s welcome.
*we define women as all women, all non binary and all trans people
What to Bring:
- Road bike (no mudguards or tri-bars; bar ends plugged)
- Helmet, clipless shoes, suitable clothing
- Food and drink
- Tools and spares you usually carry
