R2C Leadership Summit
Overview
Early bird ticket sales end on December 19.
This two-day event will bring together thought leaders from across the nation to discuss risk, partnership, and pathways to increase resilience.
Recognizing momentum across the region, the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council adopted a resolution in 2018 to develop a structure and framework for a united resilience effort. The Regional Resilience Collaborative (R2C) was founded, committees were formed, and experts convened. A definition of resilience was agreed upon, leading to the formation of the R2C’s mission: Empower the communities in East Central Florida to advance resilience strategies that strengthen and protect the built infrastructure and natural environment, enhance health and equity, and ensure a thriving economy.
The biennial Leadership Summit offers an opportunity to bring together partners and connect with leaders, experts, and interested community members through keynote addresses, panel discussions, lunches, and an evening reception.
In a region renowned for its science and technology prowess as well as its theme parks, this year’s Summit will spotlight creativity and innovation in the region. Both are integral components to bolstering resilience efforts across the region.
A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Marine Discovery Center.
