But wait, what is a backyard ultra?
In a backyard ultra, runners must complete a 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour, until only one person remains. Simon's personal best of 90 hours, or 600 km, ranks him among the top backyard ultra runners in the world. And he knows he can go further.
But, as an amateur athlete with a young family to provide for, the costs to get himself and crew to Nashville are significant. So gather your team and come along - let's get Simon to the world champs in Tennessee.
