About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

SBSD, in collaboration with the Chesterfield Economic Development Authority and Financial Fancy, LLC have come together to help you maximize use of Quickbooks and gain a better understanding of basic financial statements that are key to growing your business.

Many feel accounting is the dull, boring side of their business. As long as they’re “making money” and have Quickbooks as their accounting tool, they can avoid dealing with the numbers. That’s simply not true! You have probably heard the adage, “If you don’t put the right ingredients in, the soup won’t turn out right”. The same applies to Quickbooks; if the information is not set up and entered correctly, the information you get out will NOT be as useful as it should be.

Attendees will come away with:

  1. A better understanding of how to navigate QuickBooks efficiently, including how to categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports with ease.
  2. A solid understanding of the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement—what each means, how they work together, and what they reveal about the health of a business.
  3. Knowledge of how to use their financial data to make smarter business decisions, price their services appropriately, and stay ready for tax season or funding opportunities.
