Join us on the last Friday of every month for Queer Speed Date, a fun and safe space to create queer community in all its forms. Unlike hetero speed date, queer speed date celebrates all forms of relationships: friendships, platonic partnerships, romantic relationships, sexual partnerships, family groups, polycules, and more.
How it works
Read the book of the month, come to Under the Umbrella, and strike up conversation with new people! Purchasing the monthly book pick or even reading it is not required. This event also features the Queer Speed Date conversation cards to get the banter flowing.

Cost
- Buy a Book Ticket (comes with a copy of the book of the month from Under the Umbrella)
OR
- Buy a sliding scale General Admission ticket from $5-10 (use the promo code speedslide for the $5 ticket)

- This event starts at 6 pm! It requires logistical planning based on the number of people who show up. If you show up later than 6:15, we may not be able to accommodate you. No refunds for late arrivals.
