Queer Singing Circle

By Eli Conley

Overview

A heart filled afternoon of collective singing in queer community. All voices welcome!

Join singer-songwriter and teaching artist Eli Conley for a gathering to connect with your breath and raise up your voice in songs of grounding, hope, and resistance. Eli will teach songs that are easy to learn by ear and provide the opportunity for delicious harmonies. No prior singing or musical experience needed. While this space centers queer, trans, and non-binary voices, everyone is welcome!

About Eli: Eli Conley is a singer-songwriter, teaching artist, and activist based in Sacramento, California. He makes country-tinged folk music for queer and trans people, justice seekers, and anyone who doesn’t fit in a box. Conley's voice is tender and heartfelt, with songs that can leave you teary-eyed yet hopeful. As a queer transgender man from the South, his music tells stories that aren’t always reflected in roots music. Eli Conley has a deep commitment to working within diverse LGBTQIA+ communities to build collective power, creativity, and resilience through song. He teaches music classes for queer and trans folks and allies, workshops, and offers private voice lessons and songwriting coaching. www.eliconley.com

COVID Safety: Singing is unfortunately a high risk activity for virus transmission, so N95/KN95 masks will be required. Free masks will be available for anyone who needs one. We'll meet inside with an air purifier and HVAC system (heat) running.

Accessibility: Disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent folks are very welcome here! The Meeting House is a wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible space with no steps and a parking lot right outside. We will sit in sturdy chairs without arms, and there is a dark, quiet room if you need to take a break. We will be the only people at the Meeting House during this time. There are two single stall ADA accessible all gender restrooms in the building. Please let me know about your specific access needs when you register. You're also welcome to reach out with any questions about accessibility.
