About this Event

When in Dialogue have you ever felt the need to prioritize the order of your identities? I identify as an “Afro-latinx, Pansexual, trans person with an invisible disability”. “I identify as deaf, Black, Non-conforming”. “I am an Ace, 2spirit individual”. The order in which we share identities can feel like we are putting an emphasis on one over the others. This creates complexities and challenges with our 2SLGBTQIAP+ community to celebrate and embrace our intersectional identities and bodies. Thus, join us in exploring the nuance, beauty of existing across the spectrum and learning how to embrace the intersections of our identities.

Queer Dialogue is a recurring monthly dialogic series hosted by the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, with a new discussion topic every second Wednesday of the month. The Queer Dialogues are centered on 2SLGBTQIAP+ identities. Although these spaces speak solely about historically marginalized gender identities and sexual orientation, we invite allies to join in on the conversation.
