Quarry is a conversation series featuring alumni of Marble House Project, an artist residency in Dorset, Vermont. Marble House is joined by Toolshed and XO Projects, Inc. in presenting the first event in the sereies:

Quarry No. 1: A Conversation with Zoe Schlanger and Marina Zurkow

Join us for an engaging discussion with best-selling author Zoe Schlanger and artist Marina Zurkow at The Old American Can Factory, moderated by artist and Toolshed and Marble House director Edward Morris. The conversation will consider art's capacity to deepend our understanding of ecology, with a focus on non-human intelligence and agency. What can art—visual, literary, or performative—do to help us imagine the life-world of others, and what is gained in attempting such an impossible task?

The program will run for ~40 minutes with audience questions, followed by a reception with refreshments served.
