Overview

Recognize someone at risk for suicide, and learn the three steps to help prevent someone from attempting suicide.

Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin (CAC) is offering a series of free, virtual QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training courses. QPR is a suicide prevention training that teaches individuals how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond by:

  1. Question: Learning to identify and ask about the presence of suicidal thoughts or feelings.
  2. Persuade: Learning how to offer hope and encourage the person to seek help.
  3. Refer: Connecting the person with resources or professionals who can provide further support.

These sessions are available to employees and volunteers from: schools and school districts; public health departments; health, social, and emergency services agencies; CAP agencies (such as CAC); and related organizations across Wisconsin.

**Please note these trainings are available to Wisconsin Residents only.**
