Are CEU's offered for this QPR training

You will receive a certificate following the training that shows 2 clock hours of credit (since our training is 2 hours). You can utilize that certificate to claim CEUs from your respective board/organization.

How long is my QPR skills certification valid for?

Certification remains active for 1 year from the date you were trained.

Will there be another opportunity to attend a public QPR training offered by Lane Count?

Yes! We usually offer 2 to 3 public trainings per month. These events are published about four weeks before the date of the training.

Overview

QPR is an evidenced-based suicide prevention training that stands for Question, Persuade, Refer.

This training is open to community members in Oregon - primarily the Lane County Region.

Lane County Suicide Prevention is proud to offer this free 2-hour training to community members as part of our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness.

QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention curriculum that teaches community members to:

Recognize someone at risk
Ask a person about thoughts of suicide
Support a person in seeking help
Offer hope
