Qigong (Chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese moving meditation you can practice for many benefits including boosting your energy, relieving stress, balancing your emotions, and quieting the mind. It focuses on holistic health or “whole being” health by addressing all of who you are: mind, body, and spirit.
“Qi” means energy and “gong” means skill or cultivation. So, Qigong is "the skill of cultivating your life-force energy." Through gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation, Qi Gong helps you cultivate positive, life-force energy and promote healing from within.While Qigong has ancient origins over 5000 years old, its stress-reducing and wellness building qualities make it perfect for the modern day practitioner. Qigong can help you stay grounded, centered, and uplifted leading to more peace, joy and harmony within.
This class is open to all adults, and no experience in Qigong is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and be in bare feet, socks or comfortable shoes for practice/play.
