This session focuses on the mindset, systems, and practices schools need to build environments where all students, especially those with disabilities feel supported, valued, and included academically, socially, and emotionally. This session explores: -What inclusion currently looks like in Qatar -Barriers schools face -Strategies that build culture, not just compliance -The role of leadership, teachers, support staff, and parents -Real-world examples of inclusive practices that work
Strengthening the School–Home–Provider Ecosystem
This session explores how schools, parents, therapists, medical providers, and community services can work together to create a unified support system for students with disabilities. The goal is to identify what a strong ecosystem looks like, what’s currently missing, and how schools can collaborate more effectively with families and external providers. Key themes include: -Communication between schools, homes, and therapy teams -Aligning goals and expectations -Ensuring consistency across settings -Navigating confidentiality, boundaries, and collaboration -Family advocacy and culturally responsive partnerships -Creating community pathways that continue beyond school
Transition & Vocational Pathways
This session focuses on how schools can prepare students, especially those with disabilities for life beyond graduation, including vocational skills, workplace readiness, internships, and long-term independence pathways. The session explores: -What transition planning currently looks like in Qatar -How schools can partner with companies -Vocational opportunities for young adults -Early preparation in primary + secondary -Challenges in creating career pathways -What employers need to support inclusive hiring
