Event description

Description

Please join Indivisible East Bay and Indivisible Berkeley for a discussion with Senator Feinstein's state director! Meeting with staff in person is one of the most effective ways to influence our representatives. Staff has told us that they find these public meetings particularly helpful in their work of reporting back to the senator what her constituents want. So please come and bring your questions and concerns for her state director to answer and/or pass along to his boss.

Free and open to the public. RSVP preferred, but not necessary. The Berkeley Main Library is near Downtown Berkeley BART. The meeting room is upstairs in the 3rd floor administrative wing. Accessible, children welcome.

Indivisible East Bay is a grassroots organization focused on engaging with our members of Congress in order to influence them to block the destructive GOP agenda and ensure that our government supports and protects its constituents.

Note: This is an Indivisible East Bay event. That means that we will be following the Indivisible Guide which tells us to treat our Members of Congress and their staff, and all event participants with civility and respect. We encourage you to be opinionated, be assertive, and express your frustration. But please remember that this is intended to be a venue for thoughtful eloquence, inspirational oratory, and community sharing. Tirades, hate speech, violent speech of any kind, and excessive profanity will not be tolerated.

In addition, Congressional staff is not permitted to discuss electioneering, and it is our policy not to bring it up or ask questions they can't answer.

If you're not comfortable with that approach, please don't come.
