Amina Hall is a highly creative and results-driven professional, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Fund Development for the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA). With a deep entrepreneurial passion, unwavering drive, and a clear vision for community development, Amina has made an indelible mark in her field.

In her role at AMHA, Amina oversees grants and philanthropy for the organization’s nonprofit arm, Building for Tomorrow. She is also instrumental in fostering community and government relations, leveraging her expertise to build meaningful connections and secure vital resources for AMHA’s initiatives.

Amina’s career includes serving as Vice President of Development and Marketing at the Akron Urban League, where she advanced initiatives to support equity and social justice throughout the Greater Akron region. With over a decade of experience, she has honed her skills in revenue generation, outreach, and stakeholder engagement for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her relentless dedication to connecting stakeholders with the community has propelled her to lead numerous successful campaigns and fundraising initiatives.

She has also worked with organizations such as Hope and Healing Survivors Resource Center, Vantage Aging, and Family and Community Services, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to addressing critical community needs. Her contributions have earned her the prestigious "30 For the Future Award" from the Greater Akron Chamber, recognizing her outstanding impact.

Amina currently serves on several advisory and leadership boards, including the Greater Akron Chamber Women's Leadership Network Institute, and the Board of the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and previously served on the Community AIDS Network Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI).

As a first-generation immigrant from Bosnia, Amina brings a unique perspective and a passionate commitment to advancing social justice and equity. Growing up during the Bosnian War in the 1990s, she witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of conflict, displacement, and violence—particularly on women and children. These early experiences deeply shaped her worldview and instilled in her a lifelong mission to give back, build resilient communities, and advocate for those whose voices often go unheard. Her work is grounded in empathy, driven by lived experience, and fueled by a powerful determination to ensure every individual has the opportunity to thrive in safety and dignity.

Amina lives in Tallmadge with her husband, Jacob, and their two children, Dalia and Aden. When she is not serving the community, she can be found spending her weekends at the ball field, cheering on her kids as they do what they love—playing softball and baseball.
