Q-MoB Easy Hike: Bash Bish Falls (Copake, NY)

This is an easy hike up a wide gravel path that follows the Bash Bish river ravine up to the falls. After the hike, please join us & men from all over the region for Q-MoB Fall Gratitude Potluck Brunch, 1-5pm at the beautiful nearby home of Will & Garrick in Canaan, NY. Please register separately for Potluck so our hosts will know how many to expect.

IMPORTANT: Do not enter through the Massachusetts Parking Lot as that hike is more difficult and you may not find us.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Rain-gear,
• Layers (fleece, sweater, puffy jacket, wool cap)
• Appropriate footwear (that can get muddy),
• Snacks & water,
• Consider bringing hiking poles and cleats/crampons if you may need them or to lend to someone who may need them.
• Dogs on leashes are welcome.
• $10-$20 Tax-Deductible Donation, unless you are a Q-MoB Monthly Donor, have requested a Low-Income Scholarship or Work-Exchange, pr this is the 1st time you have ever been to a Q-MoB Activity

WEATHER: before you leave home, please check the weather in Copake, NY so you can be prepared for the weather. It is not uncommon for weather to change in the Berkshires & Hudson Valley, so be prepared. We will only cancel the hike if ice or heavy rain make the hike unsafe, and we will text you in the unlikely circumstance we need to cancel or reschedule.

CARPOOLING/RIDE-SHARE: Carpooling is a great way to get to know other men, save money on gas, and help to reduce your carbon footprint and save the planet. If you need a ride or are open to carpooling, please indicate that when you are registering, & our ride coordinator will try to match you with people nearby who are interested in carpooling or offering rides.

DONATE OR BECOME A MONTHLY SUSTAINING MEMBER: Please donate $10-$20 to help assure Q-MoB can continue to offer more than 20 activities & multiple resources & services to rural queer men all over the region. If you attend 2 or more Q-MoB events/month, please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor member. By donating $25, $50, $75, or $100/month you can help to sustain the incredible variety of activities, services, and resources Q-MoB provides and assure all of these activities are accessible to men regardless of their age, income, or ability, and best of all you can avoid having to donate at each and every event you attend. Monthly Sustaining Members pay only once a month and then can attend all our activities with no further donation.
