About this event
Q is for Questioning is a set of no-cost workshops designed to help trusted adults create more affirming environments for and relationships with the LGBTQ+ youth they care about. Workshops are facilitated by a licensed mental health professional, a peer co-facilitator, and a member of Envision:You staff. Whether you are a parent, caregiver, coach, teacher, social worker - this is a space for you! If you're not sure yet how to feel about the LGBTQ+ community or the identities of youth in your life, we welcome you.
Attendees can expect to:
- Discuss terminology and concepts relevant to the LGBTQ+ community
- Discover strategies, skills, and approaches to be an affirming adult
- Explore the role and importance of support in LGBTQ+ youths' lives
- Gain a community of other trusted adults and resources to utilize past the workshop
The workshops will be interactive, so come prepared to have conversations, ask questions, and build community with other folks who are trying to create more affirming and accepting spaces for LGBTQ+ youth. We ask that attendees commit to attending both workshops if able.
