The Patton Veterans Project (PVP) MISSION
The mission of the Patton Veterans Project is to:
- Use collaborative filmmaking as a therapeutic pathway for veterans coping with posttraumatic and other service-related stress to validate their service accomplishments, reduce social isolation, and strengthen family, community and professional bonds; and
- Through regular community screenings, break down barriers between veterans and civilians, and educate the public about the mental health challenges facing veterans and military families today.

Priority List: Veterans Eligible Participants Include: Active Duty, AGR, Reservists, and National Guard Additionally Considered: Veteran advocates who provide dedicated, individualized support and guidance, as well as spouses serving as primary caregivers to veterans.

- Led by Benjamin Patton (grandson of WWII’s General George S. Patton, Jr.) and a team of professional film instructors, PVP’s free 3-day I Was There Film Workshops help veterans learn the art of filmmaking while working with fellow vets and, through these screenings, help veterans, military families and community members connect and better understand eachother.
