Tailored for puppies in their prime socialization window, our safe, small-group classes prepare young dogs (and their families) for a lifetime of success. Classes are taught by certified professional trainer April Bove-Rothwell (CPDT, AKC CGC) with 25+ years of experience using positive, reward-based methods.
Class Details:
- Location: Puppy Classroom, Bella Woof, 7755 Girard Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037
- Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays at 9:30am, Tuesdays at 6:30pm
- Format: Indoor, small-group (max 5 puppies, 2 people per puppy)
- Rolling Enrollment: Start any week! Never miss your puppy’s socialization window!
- Duration: 1 hour per week, 5 consecutive weeks
Pricing:
- 5-Week Puppy Class: $249
- Combo (Puppy Class + 1 Private Lesson at home, via Zoom, or in-store): $419
Who Can Join?
- Puppies age 8–16 weeks (medium/large breeds) or up to 20 weeks (small breeds)
- At least 1 set of vaccines, completed 7+ days before first class
What We Cover:
- Off-leash play and social skills
- On-leash basics: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Drop It, Leave It, Leash Walking
- Manners and handling for vets/groomers
- Solutions for common puppy problems like mouthing, jumping, potty training
- AKC STAR Puppy Test available during class (add $15 AKC fee)
