Join us on Sunday, October 26th, anytime from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to help us decorate Distant Hill StoryWalk® with adorable, compostable pumpkins and gourds that will bring an extra touch of autumn fun to the trail.
To prevent the pumpkins from degrading too quickly, we won’t be carving them. Instead, you'll get creative by attaching beautiful, biodegradable materials to gourds and pumpkins. (Young children will need an adult's help to ensure their designs last through Halloween).
Bring your Halloween spirit, and we’ll supply the pumpkins, along with natural, eco-friendly materials—like flowers, pinecones, and other plant treasures from our property—to craft unique fall decorations.
You'll leave your pumpkins at a special spot on the StoryWalk® for all of our visitors to enjoy, or we can place them for you.

Registration is required by Thursday, October 23 at 9am.
Please indicate the number of pumpkins you’ll need when you register. If you didn’t register before October 23, you can still join us—just bring your own pumpkin!

Our Pavilion is outdoors and accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. There is an accessible portable restroom about 300 feet from the Pavilion.
