Pulling Back The Curtain On Voice-Over
Overview
This one-hour virtual FALA Community Class offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from a working voiceover professional actively shaping the industry today.
Pulling Back the Curtain on Voiceover is a live Zoom conversation with Emmy Award–winning actor, host, and voiceover director Marabina Jaimes. Moderated by FALA faculty and followed by a Q&A, this class is designed for actors who want a clear, honest look at how the voiceover industry actually works. Participants will gain practical insight and have the chance to ask questions directly.
Marabina will discuss the major genres of voiceover, including commercial work, animation, video games, audiobooks, ADR/looping, and dubbing. She will also cover how to set up a functional home studio using equipment you may already have, and share guidance on how actors can approach and connect with voiceover casting directors.
This class is ideal for actors at any stage who are VO-curious, looking to expand their career options, or wanting a better understanding of this side of the industry. It is part of FALA’s commitment to providing low-cost, high-level access to established industry professionals and creating learning opportunities rooted in transparency and community.
