Arion Press is proud to announce Luca Antonucci (Colpa Press), Abby Banks (Auspicious Books), and Zach Clark (National Monument Press) for the finale event of the 2025 Arion Press Craft Talk Series.

In a conversation moderated by John DeMerritt(DeMerritt Pauwels Editions), Antonucci, Banks, and Clark will discuss the art & craft of small press publishing. The conversation will touch on their differing creative practices, community experiences, and some of their favorite "scary stories" from years working in small press publishing.

The talk will be 1 hour with a 15 minute Q&A, and a reception to follow in the Arion Press Gallery.

***

Colpa Press is the publishing practice and imprint of Luca Antonucci. Based in San Francisco, Colpa publishes books with artists, as well as archival projects focused on local history and ephemera.

Abby Banks is a San Francisco based multimedia artist working in photography, sculpture, and printed matter. She collaborates with individuals to produce zines, books, and multimedia presentations of their work, and creates zines and catalogs featuring her own artwork to support her exhibitions and curiosities. Her publications are generally hand-made using a Risograph, with occassional covers made with a 1922 10x15 Chandler & Price platen press with Sy Aurebach at Imagine a River Press.

Zach Clark is an Oakland, CA based artist, educator, and publisher. He received his BFA from University of Illinois Chicago, and MFA from University of California Davis. His work is rooted in locational memory and is based in the intersection of printmaking, photography, and publication. He publishes as National Monument Press, a publishing project focused on supporting uniquely American stories through small edition printed matter and curatorial projects, completed largely through collaboration with other artists. He is one half of Chute Studio, an Oakland based Risograph publishing studio. He is a lecturer at California State University East Bay, and has shown, worked, taught, and is in collections across North America, Europe, and Japan.
