Public Speaking: From Stage Fright to Stage Power

Tuesday, January 27, 7:00-8:00 pm ET

Your voice is one of your most powerful tools for impact. Yet for many, anxiety, self-doubt, or fear of speaking up can stand in the way. In this Expert Talk, Veronica Rueckert, a longtime public radio host, trained opera singer, and author of Outspoken: Why Women’s Voices Get Silenced and How to Set Them Free, will share practical, science-backed techniques to help you speak with confidence and joy. Join us to learn how to use posture, breathing techniques, and vocal tools to overcome stage fright, command attention, and speak with clarity and power. Loving and understanding your voice doesn’t just change how you speak—it can change the world.

ABOUT THE OPED PROJECT

The OpEd Project is a global thought leadership project that accelerates the ideas and impact of underrepresented voices, especially women of all backgrounds. We believe the best ideas, regardless of where they come from, should have a chance to be heard and change the world. We also believe the world is more intelligent when it is more inclusive.

We are a community of journalists, commentary writers, thought leaders and change-agents who actively share knowledge, resources and connections across color, creed, class, sexuality, gender, age, ability and beyond. We have been featured in most major media. We have stunning results. Learn more and join us at www.theopedproject.org.
