Public Speaking for English Learners

This public speaking workshop is designed as a supportive and interactive space where participants can strengthen their communication skills through practice, feedback, and shared learning. Participants will explore common challenges in public speaking—such as managing nervousness, preparing effectively, and finding the balance between memorization and natural delivery. Special attention will be given to telling stories that connect with facts, speaking clearly and concisely, and using body language with confidence. Participants will also learn strategies for engaging audiences, as well as approaches to handle difficult moments, such as responding to questions when they may not know the answer.
