About this event

Community • City & Town

Join Ann Arbor for Public Power, the Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN), and the U-M ACLU for a lively community block party at Liberty Plaza on Sunday, October 5, from 3–6 PM.

This free, family-friendly event will bring together neighbors, organizers, and artists to celebrate the power of people working together for real change. The afternoon will feature:

  • Inspiring speakers and local storytellers
  • Live music and art
  • Delicious food from Pilar's Tamales
  • Opportunities to connect with local organizations and take action

Whether you’re passionate about climate justice, public power, democracy, or simply want to enjoy a fall afternoon with neighbors, this block party is for you. Come learn, share your story, and celebrate what’s possible when we choose community over corporations.

$20 suggested donation, nobody turned away.
