PSO Principal Winds
Overview
Join the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Winds for an evening of rich colors, soaring melodies, and inspiring storytelling through music. Adoration brings together the timeless beauty of Florence Price with the fresh, imaginative voices of New Hampshire composer Beverly Erickson whose work was commissioned by the quintet. Erickson's tribute to astronaut Buzz Aldrin takes the audience on a thrilling, celestial journey - from the launchpad to the vast wonder of the moon’s surface.
Recently added to the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts Arts Education Artist Roster (June 2025), the Principal Winds have built a reputation for artistry, versatility, and connection. They have captivated sold-out audiences at Throwback Brewery, inspired curiosity at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, and brought their vibrant performances to renowned stages including Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth.
This concert is more than a performance - it’s an invitation to celebrate beauty, innovation, and the power of live music. Reserve your seats now for an afternoon of music you won't want to miss.
